Vulnerable Children

We ensure the survival and enhance the quality of life of identified orphaned and vulnerable children by strengthening the capacity of caregivers through interventions in Health, Education, Household Economic Strengthening, Shelter, Psychosocial Support, Nutrition, and WASH. We have developed the Send a Child to School Initiative which draws support from donors and partners to:

  • Enroll orphaned and vulnerable children in school
  • Pay tuition fees and provision of basic scholastic materials
  • Construction and Rehabilitation of Schools; Provision of Libraries and Sanitary Facilities in remote communities.
  • Provide academic counselling services

Our ‘Send a Child to School’ Initiative is targeted at achieving education for all vulnerable children irrespective of socio-cultural background or family history. We also have the SEF Children Club, where we ensure learning through interaction. At the Club, children interact with one another through their favorite sporting and fun activities. Part of the routine activities of the club include:

  • SEF Spelling Bee Competition
  • SEF Book Club, Debate Competitions
  • SEF Child Art Exhibition Shows
Prizes are awarded to winners and all participants at each of the above events. Our target is to make learning fun while inculcating the children with a healthy competitive spirit that would prepare them to face the challenges of the wider world.
